Book Giveaway: Eloisa James’ Essex Sisters

I love Eloisa James’ books. Her series are intricately woven together so that you’re never entirely sure who’s going to end up with whom by the end, although of course, there’s always (eventually) a happy ending.

Unfortunately for me, I have way too many books for my shelf space, and that’s why I’m giving away this set of four books in the Essex Sisters series.

Much Ado About You introduces the four Essex sisters: Tess, the dutiful oldest; Annabel, the beautiful one; Imogen, the impetuous; and Josie, the practical. Their father has died in a riding accident, and the orphaned sisters travel from Scotland to England to live with a guardian they have never met. Tess believes it’s her responsibility to marry well – and quickly – so that her sisters can make good matches. Her best option is an irredeemable – so says his mother – rake.

In Kiss Me, Annabel, the second sister plans to use her beauty to land a rich Englishman. She’s had quite enough of living in poverty in Scotland. When she sets eyes on the Earl of Ardmore, she thinks she’s found her man – until she learns he is everything that she doesn’t want in a husband. Lucky for love, fate throws them together, in a carriage bound for Scotland.

In search of romance, Imogen has run off with a horse-mad boy and ended up a widow. In The Taming of the Duke, Imogen decides to take a lover, and the man she has her eye on is her drunken guardian’s twin brother. While she flirts with Gabe and scolds Rafe for his debauchery, Rafe pledges to get the irascible Imogen under control.

Youngest sister Josephine is excited about her society debut, until she overhears her nickname in the ton: the Scottish Sausage. Thinking she has nothing to lose, she discards her corset and abandons propriety. All too soon, she learns the danger of notoriety is a marriage of convenience to a man she doesn’t love.

All four of these books will go to one winner. I purchased the books used and have read them once. They’re in good condition, though the spines are creased.
