Romney secretly supports abortion in the worst way

Genetically modified organisms are present in many foods that we eat every day. Scientists, farmers, ranchers, and parents see the deteriorating effects on people and animals, and they are trying to warn everyone about the dangers of eating GMO-laced foods.

Watch this documentary, free until 10/17, to learn more:

One of the effects they point out is that lab rats, cows, pigs, and humans who eat GMO foods seem to have more miscarriages than those who eat natural or organic foods.

Mitt Romney did work for Monsanto early in his career, as the company began its drive to bring more GMO foods to farms, ranches, and grocery stores across the country. Now, Romney and his family apparently eat primarily certified organic foods, which they know to be safer and healthier.

Here’s what strikes me:

  • GMOs are causing women and animals to be less able to conceive or to carry a baby full-term.
  • The Romneys apparently have no trouble with Monsanto and major food producers selling GMO foods, though they avoid those foods personally.
  • Therefore, the Romneys support birth control and adoption without choice.

Maybe this is one of those cases where “logic” defies logic. Maybe he doesn’t truly understand the dangers. Maybe he didn’t know what he did at Monsanto or what they are doing now. But if he doesn’t know, should he be running the country? And if he does know and doesn’t care, should he be running the country?

A woman who takes birth control pills or walks into an abortion clinic knows what she’s doing and consciously makes the decision to proceed, but Republicans don’t like that.

About Taminar

When I grow up, I want to make movies and write books. Now in my 50s, I wonder if I'll ever really accomplish the dreams of my youth. I have made two short films, one for a college film-making class, the other for an MTV-sponsored contest. I have written short plays that have been produced, and a few short stories and reviews that have been published. I also perform and direct for community theatre. My working life has included stints in local TV news, public relations, retail management and cashier, and for a couple of years, I made the rides go at Walt Disney World. I have two cats and a husband.
