I thought about trying to find the largest family in the family tree, and a quick search showed 14 children in the family of John Raney and Mary Anna Yaden, on my husband’s side. Among my ancestors, I found 13 children in the family of John Jurdan Cooper and Arminta Stephens. These appear to be the largest number of children born to one couple.
But then I thought, “Naw. I want something fun.”
So here it is: a couple of large catches, what we call here in the South a mess of fish.

William Hahn and friends landed 100 white trout and got their names in the paper in 1957.
